Steps to multiplication under the anointing of the Holy Spirit
John 7:37-39 NLT
37 On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!
38 Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’”
39 (When he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory).
1-- BE AWARE OF YOUR URGENT THIRST
“Anyone who is thirsty ... “

Dehydration happens when our bodies are not consuming enough water or fluids to account for the water lost.
2-- DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO COME TO HIS PRESENCE
“Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!”

We come to Jesus through prayer, reading and studying the Scriptures, and through fellowship with other believers (prayer groups, house churches, congregations, etc.).
3-- COME WITH FAITH. DESPERATION ALONE WON’T DO
“Anyone who believes in me”

Salvation

Holiness

Healing
-
Provision
-
Growth
4-- AVOID DEHYDRATION. DRINK UNTIL YOU ARE SATISFIED
“Anyone who believes in me may come and drink!”

Drink to receive the gifts of the Spirit.
5-- FLOW WITH SEVERAL ANOINTINGS, NOT JUST ONE
“For the Scriptures declare, Rivers…”

“Rivers” of strength, creativity, wisdom, knowledge, understanding.
-
Anointing for management, leadership, financial administration, intercession.
-
Family anointing to lead and serve as fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, etc.
6-- FLOW WITH LIFE, AND YOU WILL SEE GROWTH AND MULTIPLICATION
“Rivers of living water”
-
These rivers bring provision, healing, a sense of direction, revelation.
7-- LEARN TO FLOW FROM YOUR HEART
“...will flow from his heart.”
A priest would draw water from the pool of Siloam with a golden pitcher, then carry it back to the temple and pour it into a silver bowl next to the altar, accompanied by musicians and choirs. In contrast, Jesus invited everyone to get water directly from him and promised that those who drink of the water he gives, will themselves become sources of this living water.
CONCLUSION: The water represents the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that would come at Pentecost!
